“My art is a conversation with color and form—intuitive and emotional —where chaos meets harmony to spark rhythm, energy, and wonder. It mirrors a life shaped by two distinct cultures that endlessly fuel my vision and creativity.”
Looking at Henriett “Anri” Michel’s work is like having a conversation with color and form—sometimes whispering, sometimes arguing, always alive. With a classical training from Hungary’s most prestigious art academy, she carries that grounding into her art, but allows for instinct to take the lead. Her brush moves intuitively, chasing emotion, allowing shapes and tones to emerge as if they’ve always been there, waiting. Three decades in tropical Florida left their mark, infusing her paintings and sculptures with unapologetically vibrant hues that ripple with energy and rhythm. On canvas, her colors dance on the edge of chaos—swirls of fire and water, light and shadow—yet resolve into harmony, a vivid balance of control and abandon. In clay, her sculptures become whimsical stories, where precise anatomy blossoms into playful forms and abstract stories, and colors as strikingly alive as her paintings.
